Abstract

This document specifies a method for the measurement of surface burning time of textile fabrics which have a raised fibre surface, i.e. a napped, pile, tufted, flocked or similar surface. The method provides a repeatable way to ignite the raised surface and time the downward spread of flame to a reference line for comparison and conformity assessment.
